Since Carmela will lose me to fantasy football drafts and FIFA next week, I decided to surprise her with tickets to the Princess Diana Accredited Access Exhibition inside Tysons Corner Center next week. Princess Di passed away 25 years ago on August 31st, just weeks after her visit to Washington, D.C. earlier that summer in June of 1997.
Carmela really admires the legacies of both Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, especially regarding the positive impact Princess Di had on both mental health and HIV/AIDS awareness in the United States. She’s also a huge fan of The Crown on Netflix, so I’m sure she’ll appreciate my gift to her.
